I love Bangkok because of all the sights and sounds. My favourite stop is the weekend market - chatuchak market. It's easily accessible by the BTS. You may need to plan to spend an entire day there because it is SO big!

bangkok thailand is very nice to visit. they got the nice golf courses , good heathy thai mad and nice historical places to visit!!! and the china town and all the budha they have with good history on it!!! very cheap places to stay and food !!!nice warm local people with great night life!!!

For first time in Thailand, you probably spend 3-4 days in Bangkok and the place you must see likes Grand palace, Wat Pho, Wat tri mit( golden Buddha temple) and canal boat ride. If you interested more about historical sightseeing, Ayuttaya is one of the option for day tour outside Bangkok.
My advise is to stay away from Patpong - this is a red light district and it can get really dangerous if you venture further inside. Especially for men, there are pimps outside of the so called 'pubs' to get them in, and sometimes, there are co-ersions. Silom, Sukhomvit and along the central places like MBK, Siam Centre are nice places to shop. Best thing to do in BKK is massage. You can request for 2 massueses working on you at the same time, and the rates are around USD50 (yes, how...
