I have been to Oman a few times A wonderful country, with clean roads, disciplined traffic, nice beaches and buildings with spotlessly white paint in the exterior. The people are very affable and courteous and religious.. A sort of mixture of the culture of both the west and the east. There are two temples and a church apart from a large number of mosques with exquisite architecture. The climate is very nice between November and March but the heat is unbearable during summer months.
This is a wonderful country and highly recommended. The people are great. The food is good. There's lots to see and do. The scenery is spectacular. Have a look round Muscat and see the Sultan's palace. Enjoy the wonderful Al Bustan hotel. Probably the best hotel in the whole Middle East. Don't miss the suq (traditional market) in Muttrah. Rent a car and visit the interior. The standard of driving is good and the roads are excellent. There are good opportunities for diving. Cruise to...
Strolling on the Corniche in Mascate, snorkeling in deep-blue sea, visiting Nizwa souk, camping in the mountains of Jebel Akhdar, sleeping in the desert or even going for a weekend on Masirah island are just few of the amazing things you can enjoy while in Oman. I most definitely recommend anyone willing to go there to do so, and I did not even mention food!
