Visit the old city of Jerusalem , no matter where you go it's history it's here that Jesus walked It's there David's citadel, the Muslim quarters the shuk (market) which looks the same as is was about a 1000 years ago. Visit the new city, the museums, Jafah street and surrounding small streets Go to the Meah Shearim section (in decent clothing as not to offend the religious people there) Someone said once that in Jerusalem you can walk for ten years and never see the same thing...
Tel Aviv is the place to party!!! bars and restaurants open till very late, great clubs and loads of people coming just to party and have fun. Great beaches and lots of happy people to party with. Weather is great as well. try to come April to June or September to October. That's when the weather is best.
in the north of Tel Aviv you'll find Hayarkon Park, with its bicycle trails, little flowing river, green lawns and wide variety of family activities. The park attracts families, youngsters, joggers and almost anyone who feels like a breath of fresh air. It isn't exactly Central Park, but it's nice, cosy and offers a wide variety of activities such as:boat ride, renting a bike, sports and games(soccer, basketball, tennis,basketball...),Playgrounds for kids.
Hello, I'm about to visit Tel Aviv in august or september. But I would love to spend half of my holidays in town and half in some quiet place with beautiful views. QUIET is most important here :) It can be somewhere outside Tel Aviv, let's say max 100 km from Tel Aviv. Can you recommend me some lovely and quiet places like that?
Going along Rothchild Boulevard in the heart of Tel Aviv from north to the south or the other way around will take you through an intensive Israeli experience of culture (Habimma National Theater and The Mann Auditorium - the house of the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra), uniqe and outstanding Bauhaus architecture and endless number of restaurants and coffee houses of all kinds.... Enjoy your tour
