It was wonderful, I loved everything about Rio, the touristic places were so beautiful, people are nice and friendly, its very green and nature, God's creation!!!
Which neighbourhood do you recommend to stay for tourists? (near the main sights, safe, easily accesible)?
For those who want to visit Rio de Janeiro and enjoy the beaches, the beauty of the landscape and the places of entertainment I recommend three basic things: 1. Rio de Janeiro is a safe city, but depends on where you are going to stay in that neighborhood, in that region. Before hiring a Hotel or hostel, please, use the Google Map-streetview-and get to know the neighborhood where you will stay, or visit. 2. As in any city, never go out and walk on the streets using expensive jewelry, expensive...
I am travelling to Sao Paulo and Rio for business purposes but want to experience real Brazilian food and a Samba club. any suggestions?
Rio de Janeiro is a safe and beautiful city. If you like to have an adventure, here is the best place to do. You can hike in the montains, climb the sugar loaf and you will be amazing how beautiful the city is there. You can go to Búzios that is an 2 hours from Rio and have wonderfull beachs. Ipanema has nice bars and lapa always is great to go out in the night life. You will have a lot to do in Rio, enjoy your time and please don´t use expensive stuff.
Hi there! Which city would you recommend in Brasil to stay for a while? Dismissing Rio and Sao Paulo as i don't like very big cities cities.. what about Florianopolis, Curitiba orPorto Alegre? i'm looking for a city with cultural activities, safe to go out at night and close to the nature/ sea if possible. Any tips? Thanks so much!
This is a glorious and vibrant city, there are quaint things to do, buy and inflation is terrible, the people are fun and tired of poverty, but they get on with life. Be very careful not carry passport money, safer to lock in hotel safe, and use hotels 4* or 5* only. Use a tour guide is better. Go to Corcavano mountain views(cloudy day we went), quaint church on top big enough for about 5 people and priest weddings sometimes held here. Be safe, make sure to travel to Paraty, Angros dos reis...
