World's Greatest Cruise Destinations
Cruise holidays are becoming increasingly popular as they offer luxurious surroundings, a huge range of onboard activities and the chance to see a variety of places on one trip. So what are you waiting for? Slap on some sunscreen, jump on deck, grab a cocktail and sail away into a stress free paradise.
1. Caribbean (best time: January and February)
From Aruba to Barbados, the Caribbean offers amazing weather, clear waters, beautiful beaches and friendly people –what more could you ask for? Cruises here give travellers the chance to visit many of the Caribbean islands, all of which are a short hop away from one another. Load up on stunning views, a broad range of activities and wonderful food – this is one cruise you definitely won’t want to be staying on board for!
2. Antarctica (best time: mid December – late February)
This is one of our favourites, simply because it is unique. The Antarctica may seem like an implausible destination for sun-seekers but please give it a chance! The opportunity to see penguin colonies, glacial cliffs and humongous icebergs are all part of the trip, as well as enjoying some of the most mind-blowing views imaginable. Take yourself away from the world as you know it and experience the unknown.
3. Hawaiian Islands (best time: almost everyday)
Why pick one island when you can visit all four? A Hawaiian cruise visits Oahu, Maui, Kauai and The Big Island, so you can see what each island has to offer without missing out. Clear waters, active volcanoes and outstanding sea life are only a few of the things on offer to travellers. Get booking now for one hula of a time!
4. Norway (best time: June – August)
Norway isn’t such an obvious choice for many looking for a cruise destination, but it has a lot to offer. The cruise boat sails through narrow fjords and gives guests onboard a close up of snow-capped mountains, glacial features and steep cliffs – much like a mini Antarctica with a warmer climate.
5. Galapagos Islands (best time: mid April – mid May)
Exploring the islands where Darwin himself observed world’s most unique animals. The Galapagos Islands boast clear skies, warm weather and calm seas, offering a truly relaxing experience. You will simply be fascinated by this ecosystem with sea lions, iguanas, tropical penguins and Galapagos turtles.
6. Mediterranean (best time: May – September)
The Mediterranean offers some of the best locations for a cruise including the Spanish Costa del Sol, Greek Islands and the French Riviera – this range of locations gives travellers the chance to experience a whole variety of countries and cultures. The Mediterranean also has some of the world’s best diving spots – so be prepared to plunge in.
