Well I arrive Charleroi around midnight and take a bus from airport to the city, and i can't find any hostel or cheap hotel, but beside that everyone just send me to the Leonardo or Ibis, so I take a taxi and find an hotel in the airport area (there are more hotels there than in the city center). This is an industrial city, so I don't find it attractive, but they have a great photography museum.
