Enjoying more hours of sunshine than any other Australian capital, Perth is the place to take advantage of clean air, great beaches and a laid-back lifestyle. The city is located on the Swan River, with the suburbs sprawling out in a north-south direction, and east to the Darling Ranges. Locals refer to locations as being either north or south of the river, or in the Hills. The ... more info

Fremantle  by Sherilee    5th Mar 09
The last time I stayed in Perth was in Fremantle. I highly recommend the Esplanade Hotel and Porderosa restaurant in Fremantle. Walking around Freo at night is enlightening too. There is a terrific second hand book store to peruse and on the weekend, the Fremantle Markets are the place to be. I suggest a foot massage when you go to the markets. Very relaxing. There are so many different places to visit. Go there!!

Perth Nov'08  by Mazan    22nd Jan 09
I was in Perth last November for a 10 days holiday. I found that I fell in love with it. It has so many nice beaches to go to, and if you are bored of the beaches, you can go have a stroll or picnic at the parks, and if that bores you after a while, you can go and opt for some river view picnic or stroll. Easy access to anywhere you wish to go. The free CAT buses in CBD is a great way to go around the city centre. Definitely will be going back there again.

Excellent Walking Tour of Perth  by Ryan    5th Jan 09
Hey....I just got back into Perth and there is now a walking tour running that wasn't last time I was here. Its called Two Feet & a Heartbeat. I loved the name and had to do it We walked all around the city in the evening. It's so beautiful then, cos all the locals go home and the place is all for yourself! its so cool. I learned a heap of stuff I had no idea about. There is so much history that my Perth friends didn't even know anything about. I did the tram and the double decker bus last time, but they are really boring stuff. I would definitely say do the Two Feet walk!

Been there twice  by Colleen    20th Nov 08
The first time I went, it was for four nights and three days to check out the city, as part of a 37 day bus trip of Western Australia, the Northern Territory and South Australia. It was a beautiful city, and not only were the city sights (and Swan River) awesome, but we went and saw Fremantle, which I also liked. The second time I went, my sister was living there, so I stayed there for a few days and we went to Cottlesloe Beach for my sister's 30th (having morning tea at the tea house there).

Beautiful Perth  by Steven    5th Nov 08
Perth, Western Australia is a beautiful place to be and there are a lot of things to do. Whilst Perth is a small city compared to others in Western Australia it is one of a kind. Things to do such as shopping and relaxing in Fremantle which dates back to the colonial era with the Fremantle Round House and the main coffee strip. The Fremantle Maritime Museum (shipwreck gallery and the new Maritime Museum), tours through the old Fremantle Prison. Then if you're into the wine then the Swan Valley is the place to go with boat tours leaving Perth foreshore every day. It is a beautiful city to be in and full of things to do and adventure.
