Kosice is the second largest Slovak city and capital of the east. Entering it you get your typical eastern European stereotypical view satisfied: bad street, grey, grim buildings and decrepit places. But enter the center and you come into a beautiful Gothic/Baroque old town with one of the longest main "squares" I have seen. It's bustling, modern and likable - and the nightlife is great fun, too!
