Lisbon in short  by Giora    31st Mar 09
Lisbon is a very pleasant city. Good weather, good food and wine, very good public transportation, and inexpensive. Don't miss Belem tower, Jernimos Monastery, Monument of the Discoveries, 25 de Abril bridge, Saint Jorge's Castle looking over Alfama district, Lisbona plaza de figueira and Commerce Square, travel with trolley #28! Enloy!

Lisbon its a nice and calm city with a amazing atmosphere! You can visit historic and modern places, have fun and learn things at the same time. Where you can enjoy the tagus river and its beauty...listen Fado, a tradicional song...and enjoy the son and Lisbon's light...

Just walk through Alfama, Bairro Alto and Bica...you feel the real essence of this city. Stop for a coffee and listen to the people. Some, even that they do not speak any word of English, they interact instantly with any foreign! It's a beautiful city, with river and sun, what a magic scenario! I rise my cup of wine to it and sing a fado song!

This was my home city for more than 8 years, and have so much to offer, Architecture, gardens, museums nightlife, shopping, here you can find everything. Shopping in Chiado or in one of the big malls like Colombo, Vasco da Gama or amoreiras, Walking in The Old neighborhoods like Alfama or Castelo, enjoy the modern part of the city were the Expo98 took place, and now called Parque das Nacoes, relax in the Gulbenkian gardens. Drink a Cocktail in one of the great clubs in The Av. 24 de Julho or just hanging around in Bairro Alto. This is a great a city and almost every months I'm there.
