DAVAO, a place to go back to. I have been there last weekend, for the Kadayawan Festival. Lot's of fruits, marang, durian, pomelo (suha). Night out at Bar 1 and The Venue for Friday and Saturday nights.
Eden's Nature Park is the best. Cooler climate, near Mt. Apo- the tallest mountain in the country. I love their buffet lunch, where the vegetables and fruits were grown and harvested within the park. Not to mention the reasonable price, Pph 420 for the day tour all in including eat-all-you-can buffet lunch. You can also stay overnight with different lodging amenities depending on your budget. (I and my officemates are planning to go back and stay at least two nights there). I also like Pearl Farm beautiful landscape, though Dos Palmas in Palawan is better in terms of water activities.
Food is cheap in Davao. Marang only cost P15 per kilo, pomelo and durian only P50/kg. Batik are also cheap in aldovinco, kept on buying which resulted to excess baggage.

The waters of this island The Pearl Farm Beach Resort is inviting. Crystal clear waves splash gently on the shore and the calm surface of the rock pool washes over the edge into the sea below. Situated in a secluded cove on exotic Samal Island off Davao City, in the Southern Philippines, this world class beach resort is set among inviting swaying coconut palms and fringed by a glittering white sand beach. The area is blessed with various natural attractions and affluent flora and fauna. Nestled on the quiet side of Samal Island, The Pearl Farm Beach Resort is a mere 45-minute boat ride from the wharf. This 14-hectare spread was once a pearl farm, where thousands of white-lipped oysters, transported from the Sulu Sea, were cultivated for their pink, white and gold pearls.

Davao is a great place not only because it is beautiful and nice city as others describe it. I am amazed of the local discipline. It is one of of the few places in the Philippines where cleanliness is observed. No smoking in public places is strictly observed too.
Wow to the orchid farms, taste the durian, sweet and juicy pomelos and other fruits, aldevinco shopping and malambing locals...Davao is the place to visit!

Davao have a lot to offer to visitors who prefer to good food, beaches and sight seeing. I have been there twice and there's always a place that fascinates me. I never left Davao without buying sets of pearls. Malong is the best pasalubong you can give a friend and so are durian candies. Make sure you experience eating durian ice cream!

Davao is one of the nicest cities I've been to. People are very warm and friendly. It's an ideal place to wander and forget about your excess baggage for a while. There are so many venues to visit and experience. Hotels and resorts with high-end amenities are very accessible. Davao offers many exciting adventures whether you're the backpack type of traveler or one who prefer to curled up in the soft bed listening to the soft music played over dvd.
