well, it's America.  by Faulkner    31st May 09
Born here and although I hate it sometimes and see a lot wrong with it I must call it home for the moment. Thankfully it is better than some other places. But my opinion is this country is losing a lot of it's creative and intellectual flux in comparison to the rest of the world. America is vast in size and in depth of people. The individual's perspective can be limited. So the best I can say is come visit and see what you think.

The Land of opportunities....  by Korlu    26th Mar 09
I have lived in the United States for about all my life now. It's a very nice place to live. Since it's so huge, there's a lot of places to see and visit. Some of my friends and I, are looking into taking a road trip. To be honest, I really haven't left the east coast. I have always wanted to visit the other parts of the United States. I love living here, but I also love leaving. The fun part about this country, you get to meet a lot of people from different parts of the world. My dad is from Africa, and I have friends from, the islands and other parts of the world so I have learnt a lot about people. Washington DC is the place to be, they have nice places to hang and just chill, if you love the party life, visit Washington DC. Well that's it, if you haven't been to the United States you should try to come visit us some times. We're loving and fun peeps. One love.

The Old Man  by Ruth    23rd Feb 09
It was a nice review, but the old man and the mountain no longer exists. Unfortunately the elements eroded off his face and turned it into a pile of rocks at the foot of the mountain. I have been told. I have never seen it so it is a loss.

my history with the united states  by Tara Leigh    22nd Feb 09
some of my fathers ancestors worked passage as carpenters aboard the mayflower. they stood in all the wars there. then when the united states, with France as their allies, tried to take Canada they moved north and many died in the fighting. i have family in Vermont and have visited there many times, i love looking at the old man in the mountain. i think it has to be the most beautiful state in the union :) as a child i visited New York city and climbed the empire state building, i had to lean over :) i have traveled a bit in New York state. i would love to visit Montana and south Dakota greatly :)

Alaska  by Shirley    22nd Dec 08
I am returning for the 3ed time this summer to Alaska. It is the most beautiful place that I have ever seen and I have travelled extensively through US & Europe. Everyone should go there at least once in a lifetime. I went on 2 cruises, one included a land tour. This trip is strictly Land Tour and we have plans for some exciting guided tours.
