I spent the better part of a month in my family's home land experiencing all the amazing and beautiful places I had heard so much throughout my life and little to my surprise, it was even more amazing in person than I had ever imagined. When I landed there, FINALLY, after the longest flight of my LIFE, my soul knew it was finally home...

Sina and I just had a few days in Scotland so we had to make the most of it. We were on a shoe string budget and and at first just enjoyed the life style in Glasgow. a Night at one of the clubs was just the thing we needed. We did go on a Timberbush day tour. We had a great time and can recomend one of these tours. A great tourguide makes a good experience! We stare at Edinburgh, Sterling, Historic Highlands, Loch Ness (where we visited a Casle and had a amazing boat trip on the Loch looking for Nessie!), Inverness, Pitlochry and then back to Edinburgh on the Fort Road Bridge build in the Victorian era. I shared a very special trip with a very special friend. Thanks darling :-)

I went to Scotland in July, 2008. It was a nice experience. We stopped at Edinburgh. It was such a nice place to enjoy. We stayed at High street hostels on the highland street. It's atmosphere was wonderful... we enjoyed our time at hostel. Same day we visited the main castle..lot's of things to see over there... then we had a free day tour of Edinburgh. This tour was great as you have a great chance to learn about Edinburgh's history. In the evening, we went for mountain climbing... very much satisfactory. On the next day, we started for Loch Ness belt and Fort Williams - Inverness Tour. We enjoyed it but beware some bus tours may let travel more rather than enjoying in a particular place.

Stopped in Glasgow, I went to find some ancestry at the Mitchell Library. Found two or three new people in my family and then went to Edinburgh. Both were the places my grandparents were born. Grandfather in Edinburgh and Grandmother in Glasgow. It was a fun two days. I would like to go back and do more sightseeing. The train rides were very eventful. I met a lot of new people and still keep in touch with them because of the trip. Love to go again.

I went here for a cousin's wedding in May 2006, on the western coast. Such gorgeous scenery! The wedding was filled with traditional Scottish dancing and a bagpiper at the end of the ceremony.
