Estonia  by Matthew    23rd Dec 08
Came to this country via Sweden. The people there are very friendly and helpful - accommodation and places to visit. They seemed happy that you were there. There are really great towns and cities to visit.

Tallinn  by Tim    1st Sep 08
This was one of my first real trips abroad traveling and what a place....the old part of the city, Toopea is amazing with medieval buildings everywhere and two great churches (St Olav's, and the Alexander Nevssy). There are some great cool bars in the old town where you can escape from the UK stag party idiots, there is also a bar dedicated to the band Depech Mode who are apparently huge here!! The modern part of the city though is not so nice, all soviet era concrete. Will have to go back again sometime for another visit :)

Estonia 2002  by Alex    31st Jul 08
Went to Estonia in 2002. Went out there and felt as though I was a millionaire. Everything was so cheap we could not spend our cash. Tallinn was a beautiful city, so atmospheric. The square was a hive of activity when we went as there was a medieval reconstruction with staff etc dressed in authentic garb. Some of the bulidings were stunning, churches etc. Went in July and the temperatures at the time were scorching. Went to the coast and stayed in Juminda. There was a woodland walk to the beach which we embarked on until we remembered that bears roamed free. Needless to say we hastily back-tracked. A very interesting place full of contrasts.
