I visited Barbados with a friend in March 2007 and Jan 2008 with my Boyfriend and the 1st visit we swam with the Turtles on a Catamaran excursion from our Carnival Cruise and it was one of the Best excursions/ times I've had. And the 2nd trip we did a Snorkel/jeep/Island tour and Dean and I had so much FUN and the Island was so majestically Beautiful and picture perfect. We'd go back in a second but on an all inclusive as it was an expensive Island. Take a look at my Desk top picture of a Beach in Barbados....

Barbados has been my second home for many years, I try to get back as often as I can. If you get a chance to visit, ask for a Barbados Rum Punch. Lots to do and see and great night life.

We spent the day at Boat Yard Beach. I had lots of fun until .....let me explain I rented 2 jet skis 1 for me and 1 for my dad. When were getting off one of the guys tried to extort money from my dad and he got disrespectful doing it. I had to jump off and rush up to him and let him know I wasnt going for his scam. With a few choice words in my own island accent (Im from the carribean too)... Later one of the guys came over to me and said he tries that when he thinks he can get money out of folks. He is one guy and he didnt spoil my day especially after the lady in the beach bar brought me a large rum punch and told me thats telling him and that he will be dealt with.....The rest of the day was a blast I had an underweater camera and got some shots of ONLY God knows what kind of fish....SMILE

I would never fly into Barbados for a connection to other islands again. Arrived at 3 a.m., no air conditioner no other air lines open and no one to answer questions. It was nothing but hardships. Mustique airways didn't even have a flight schedule, had to wait for enough people to leave even though ticket was prepaid.

My first Christmas away from home and I had fun. Bagan people are so warm and inviting.
