Ohakandja is a relatively small town with most of the basics and activities you need. It is the gateway to the north and west/coast of the country.It is a cheap and quiet place to raise kids decently. Accommodation is cheap but difficult to get THOUGH there is a lot construction of houses in progress. In case one has some business to take of in Windhoek it is the closest town i.e. 68km only The cost of driving your small car to Windhoek is comparable with using public transport which readily available till 2000hrs.
