When one mentions the name 'Mombasa,' different memories cross our minds: People sunbathing while sipping chilled juices at the beach, children running with inflated balloons here and there, live bands playing during dinner, the wonderful aroma of seafood and wonderful melodies of swahili music filling the air. There are also memories of visiting Fort Jesus, Old Mombasa Town, Crossing the Ferry at Likoni and eating juicy mangoes and coconuts. Mombasa is one of the safest towns to visit in Kenya, as the crime rate is low. The residents are so friendly that sometimes one can mistake them for an old friend or relative. The city has a lot to offer, ranging from budget hotels to luxury nests by the beach and only you can limit the amount of fun you would like to have.
Would love to visit Mombasa or Zanzibar, any tips? Whats the best time to visit, where to stay etc?
