I have been there 3 times already, the first because I was travelling with my parents; and the 2nd and 3rd times, because they had lived in neighbouring Port Huon. I would gladly live there, should the opportunity present itself.

Hobart is a great City. Although it is the smallest of the Capitals in Australia it has that friendly laid back feeling that is not present in the other State Capitals. In Hobart everything is within walking distance from the ELizabeth Street Mall and you can get around on daily bus tickets that allows you to travel all day to see the sites close at hand. When wanting something to eat there is a place for all tastes so you won't get disappointed. We have the best seafood in the country here and the best restaurant for that is Muirs for sure. Come visit this friendly, historic place.
