COLOMBIA continues to Exceed my expectations . At the fact I've arrived, running on adrenaline knowing that the whole world was just waiting for me to Conquer it. My Heart Pounded as they spoke Passionately of Gorgeous parks , Fascinating Museums and theatres and World-Class exhibitions. My mind was Buzzing. Smiled at fact that so many things here are Beautiful and lovely. From the second I Arrived in Bogotá, like so many other Colombians it bowled me over their Cordiality Welcoming us to this country. - The thought alone, that I'm here is enough to make me smile. And being honest, even my determination to come to a place many won't consider visiting makes me, Pleased with myself. (yes mate, it's big difference than England!) At last I'd found another of the things I was hoping Colombia would generously provide me with: Endless stretches of Beautiful deserted Caribbean sand. It was all Ours, doing our best to take full advantage of the solitude, Waves~ ^ Sun sun's harmful effects on our delicate English skins. Always making friends, and introduced to Show us what Good People make up Colombia; a great opportunity for us to find out what life for them was really like? After, went to Medellin, Colombia's 2nd biggest city and Barranquilla city. Turned out to be immensely eye-opening journey. Its very Friendly lively City of some 3M people. The place is a sizeable (MIND BLOWINGLY BEAUTIFUL) Feels Full of Energy...("OPAAAAAA!" ... as my all-time Favourite cities. I've started thinking to live 1/2 time, here and work. Had a great 10 days in Medellin..Parties and plenty of Clubs with different music nights means you Always find something you like. (The Music Genres around in Colombia can be categorized as: Salsa, merengue, vallenato, tropical Reggae.) Saturday nights are Cool! We went to Mango's, the city's most Famous Club. It's something straight of IBIZA. Stages everywhere host girls and guys dancing away the place was packed. Before I knew it, it was Monday! Go go go, get out of there! I'd been asking around for More Places to visit Devoid of foreigners. If you came to Colombia today, which is perfectly Safe , and spent time in the towns and cities without involving yourself with the locals (which would actually be quite hard since they're so Outgoing and Friendly) YOU'D COMPLETELY LOSE SIGHT OF THIS COUNTRY ESSENCE. I couldn't help but feel immensely Flattered, I'd been so Warmly KINDLY received into their homes and Made to Feel such an integral part of the family in a Paradise. If you visit Puerto Rico...EL YUNQUE is an Excellent choice for a rainforest a adventure. It is a very gentle forest. In fact; there are no poisonous snakes, as one gains a better understanding through actual experience. . the beauty can be Overwhelming. In eastern highest Mountains, which has El Yunque rainforest at 2500 ft above sea level, gets most rain. "It consist of 28,000 acres of the most Beautiful Rain Forest in the world". All Rugged topography and an overabundant, highly diverse vegetation. There are 240 Native tree species, 23 of them found ONLY in El Yunque. 88 Rare tree species. 50 native orchids and 150 types of ferns.. quoted from the 'Forest Legacy' as the new 7th World Wonders. "According to Legend, the good spirit 'Yuquiyu' reigned on his mighty mountain-top throne, protecting the Taino indians." It still feels AWESOME El Yunque it's peaks an Aura of mystery surrounds this exotic forest! The intrigue of visiting the Rain forest is in the pristine beauty, the sounds, the quietness waterfalls and immerse yourself, in SERENITY. Los 3 Picachos has a trail to the very top! This reserve was first set aside by the king of Spain, which then transferred to the federal government in 1898. How did the present lookout towers and trails first become established? President Franklin D. Roosevelt established the CCC in 1933 through the federal program, 3,463,766 young men found employment and needed food, clothing and shelter. Using little else than shovels and axes, the young men of the CCC completed recreation Conservation projects on public lands throughout United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico & Virgin Islands. They built roads, developed recreational sites Picnic facilities, paved Trails and Tour Bus parking and engaged in forestry & wildlife improvements. Great experience, to hike. There are 3 covered rest stations on the way up.
