This Kookaburra was sitting quite close to us in a tree while we were having lunch in the beer garden of a Tavern in the Dandenong Ranges. He was having the most wonderful time flying around to unattended plates throughout the lunchtime period and pinching select goodies Cheeky fellow ... some children out in the beer garden enjoyed tempting him with tit bits of meat and all to their delight when he flew down from the tree tops to take from their hands. Obviously this Taverns Beer Garden has some rather tame Kookaburras as residents of their property.
