Great place to be if you like hot and sunny weather,safe especially when you drive a big 4x4 SUV,petrol is very cheap 5 litres about 1 Euro.If you come and work here make sure you have good accommodation included in any deal...Kantara, the Pearl are nice places to visit..see you in doha :)

I'm flying next year to Tahiland through Katar. I'm at the Doha airport after 10pm - is it worth to get a visa and go sightseeing by night ?

It's exclusively a business destination. I wouldn't recommend it for young people looking to combine career and lifestyle, Qatar is not the place. Unless you get your circle of friends the place can be pretty boring. People are pretty conservative, therefore women are recommended to dress accordingly when on the street, shopping malls and governement offices. In general Qataris are friendly, however some don't like foreigners. Driving is a it risky, people have no respect to the trafic regulations, just be careful and vigilant on the road. Good luck
