I was only able to stay in Bali for a few short days. I hired a car and driver for the day (about 30 Euro). Had a fantastic tour, an easy, cheap way to see some of the island. Went to various temples, the volcano, Ubud, the paddy fields, with the finale of the beautiful sunset on cliffs. The beach at sunset is great fun, all sorts of people gather to celebrate the day. Stayed a mile or so outside of town so peaceful and a truer flavour of the place. Would love to go again. PS I don't work for the Bali Tourist Board Ha ha

In which month is best to go in Bali?

Kuta beach is really just a tourist trap and "surfer's paradise", no chance to swim, but there are great entertainment stuff like scuba diving and paragliding and tubing on a big wing looking thing that goes airborne constantly... want good beaches go to nearby Lompok island instead; ok or just go further south to another beach away from Kuta...

I'm planning to go to Bail at the beginning of Nov, anyone else heading out there at that time. I'm possibly going by myself. Is it safe enough to do that. Anyone have any places I must go to?
