Grand Canyon, United States

The great gorge is accessible from two sides, north and south. Most of the more than five million visitors per year choose to go to the South Rim, which has many more tourist facilities than the north side and, accordingly, tends to get action-packed during the summer season and even some winter weekends. The North Rim is a quieter and more remote place and preferred by people who wis ... more info

Want to go back to hike.  by Xcorat    22nd Dec 08
This was my first trip after moving to the USA. I have no words to describe the excitement I had standing on top of one of the nature's 7 world wonders. Entered from the south rim, and the view in the morning sun was awesome. I am dying to go hiking in the canyon. But just have no body to go with...!!!!

Vechile Cost  by Joe    4th Sep 08
Stop by at the IMax and see the Cayon on the big screen, its 12.00 dollars a person, and it you drive its 25.00 car pass for three day. You must take plenty of water, and snacks to avoid the high cost of dinning or lunch at the canyon. Bring walking shoes, and sun tan it might get hot. The sky walk is on the Neveda side of the cayon, from the North Rim its almost 6 hour drive. and bring money about 100.00 dollars so two people can enjoy the sky walk. There is admission to the sky walk about 25.00 dollars a person, but the parking cost about 35.00 dollars. Lots of places to take photos. Gas up the car so you don't run out and not many places for wash closet.

Grand Canyon - El Tovar  by Wendy    29th Jul 08
The Grand Canyon is absolutely amazing! There is no way to put into words how large and beautiful it is! We stayed at the El Tovar hotel right on the South Rim...just STEPS to the rim, nice restaurant and decent rooms. Convenient to the trail along the rim and just a few minute walk to the Bright Angel Trail! First thing each morning the Elk were out on the front lawn....nice!
