Once upon a time, Orlando was a small town surrounded by cow pastures and citrus fields. With the development of Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida, SeaWorld Orlando and a host of smaller attractions, those cow pastures turned into planned communities that house a wide range of residents, from Disney's 55,000 cas ... more info

Florida Tour  by Dylan    24th Mar 09
I did a Contiki tour of Florida in 1998, I enjoyed it tremendously. Disneyland is great for kids as well as adults. Paradise Island is great for going club hopping, with so many clubs in one place, its hard not to enjoy yourself. My favourite place of all was key west, it just had this island feel, which to me is the best.

Orland fun  by Eric    27th Feb 09
I visited Orland once in 2002. Awesome place. One of the best place to have clean fun. There's Disney World, Space Center, Universal Studios, etc. It's really worth visiting once in you lifetime....and food is great too. The beach are one of the best in the world too...nice surf..and simply awesome to chill out. The place really gives value for money.

Orlando the Great  by Maureen    6th Oct 08
Orlando any time of the year is wonderful. The weather is great most of the year. Summers are hot though and it may rain but only rains for a few minutes. There are tons of attractions for adults, kids, and young at heart. The traffic is not as bad as my bigger cities. Overall, it is a very attractive clean city with more to see than you can conquer in a week. My suggestion is to have a plan of action, as Orlando may be a little overwhelming for those who can be indecisive about what attractions to see, where to eat, etc. The beaches are only an hour and a half on either coast so you can fit in a relaxing day as well. As far as hotels, it's way better and cheaper to stay in a rented house (as there is many rentals there) or time-shares versus a hotel. Regardless, they do not call it the #1 vacation sight in the world for no reason.

Orlando in Autumn  by Marta    1st Oct 08
Orlando in autumn is full of unexpected surprises-autumn art shows, film festivals, lunch hour concerts, and all sorts of family fare, too. LYMMO buses travel around downtown Orlando, and there are shuttles in other popular areas of Orlando as well. Leisurely strolls through some of Orlando's gardens and parks are a great way to spend an autumn afternoon. And for the night owls, there is a club scene, too, whether you choose downtown Orlando or the theme parks and attractions.

Orlando ROCKS!!!  by Rick    29th Sep 08
I moved here in Dec of 2000 and went to work for Disney. I loved the city and everything there is to do here. Disney, Universal Studios, Sea World... just the tip of the iceberg... Wet-N-Wild water park, countless putt-putt courses, hundreds of bars and restaurants, theaters (live & film), comedy clubs (SAK, Bonkers, etc). There is even a really cool Street Magician in Downtown Orlando who does crazy stuff!!! If you are bored in Orlando, you should stay home. This town ROCKS!
