Brooklyn, despite its reputation, is a nice leafy suburb, with plenty of park areas and places to walk. The good thing about the City is that there's a lot of greenery around and plenty of parks to escape to if you are not big on shopping, plus the art galleries and museums. Getting about can be time consuming though.....

New York is not an art city, as the European cities, but it produces art and it knows very as well as valuing it. Without counting that many store present the merchandises as masterpieces, in the atmosphere of an instantaneous museum. I find that people alone really believe that is in New York going to confer the Statue of the Freedom. Catches the raft in Battery Park, who by the way is a stroll delight. Going for the Liberty Island, where it is the Statue sees a pretty sight with the silhouette of the city. Visits only with reserves, of where if it can go up on the inside of it, its 345 steps and for the window in the head to see the hand with the famous torch. Emotive!

New York is in many instance is a particular place in America. It has great implication in the process of decision making since the very foundation of this Federal. NY was within the first States that ratified the Constitution and since then have played an important position at the political dynamic in America. If NYC was a country it would be among the 20th most wealthy country in the world. New York is culturally diverse: You can have a hair cute at a Haitian baber shop, a meal at a Chinese restaurant, dance salsa at a Latino club, date an African girl... and fall in love with the city. New York is the land where minorities follow the American, because there is support, there is always a community to accept you, someone, somehow, somewhere, someday... to say that you belong. New York the greatest.

NY is one of my favorite places ever. You have so many options and you also meet people from all over the world. Everybody is so friendly over there... I went 3 times this year and I must tell you that nothing compares to the Village. I stayed in a GREAT furnished apartment so I had the opportunity of feeling the city as a local person. I also had a great experience (much more quiet) at the Uptown. Also while staying in an adorable studio over there. You should go for NY as a New Yorker and not as a tourist. You will love it.
