Set between Europe and Asia, on the southern shores of the Arabian Gulf, Dubai is the jewel in the crown of the United Arab Emirates. The second largest of the seven Emirates (the others are Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujaira, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al-Qaiwain), Dubai is like an oasis in the sweeping deserts. Inside Dubai  by Alz    16th Apr 09
Dubai: There is a glimmer, a hope, a shine to the place. The most obvious malls, sprawling highways, smooth bars, sultry nights, the biz-buzz, the tall constructions, the mega brands.... the list is huge!!!! But, I would rather take you to the base, to the roots, to the soul of the city. The true fun n experience of a city or a tourist destination lies in its less glamorised gullies, lanes and traditional haunts. For that to happen: Check out the bustling Naif road eateries. Hover around the corniche (the lagoon-break of the sea), right in the middle of the city in Bur Dubai, a little away from the Bank Street. Take a dhow cruise and guzle the Arabic tea on the shores. Munch on the Arabic sandwich, the 'shouwarma' along with the 'sheesha' at the Deira area, behind DNTA Building. Visit any 'cafeteria' for the egg sandwich, a basic road-side eating item, made of omlette wrapped in wheat rolls / roti / bread.

Dubai  by Ismail    25th Mar 09
The thing I love about Dubai that I can plan my trip in deep deep detail without any surprises So I can plan 72 hours trip with 0 hours sleeping and don't have one break and not spending more than 3 hours in one place. Every thing is available online and I can almost pay for any activity in the trip before leaving my country (you can reserve upto the car parking online)

Dubai  by Christine    10th Mar 09
I have been in the UAE for 10yrs, you cannot live in Dubai. It is only a place to be experienced. You come have fun during a holiday and go back. It is definitely not cheap, but has a lot of variety to offer
