Hammamet  by Loona    29th Aug 08
I was in Hammamet and was staying in hotel LE KHALIFE. Food is so-so. Rooms are ok, small pool, but you have 5min walk to hotel beach. The beach is great, you have sun umbrella and seats for free. Everything is a little bit dirty but in Yasminne Hammamet it is a totally different, clean and new. Night life is ok, but very high prices of alcoholic drinks. Hotel LE KHALIFE have a great animation team, 5 guys. They are totally crazy and will do their best to make you feel welcome. Hammamet is some 90 km from Tunis, and you really need to visit it. It is a capital of Tunisia, and have great architecture. But Medina (old town) is a different story. People just sitting around doing nothing, smoking "shisha" and trying to sell you everything. Bargaining is part of their culture and they will be offended if you do not barging with them. But before you buy something find a shop with fix prices, just to know how much something is worth, and then you can go bargaining.
