We had been there for 2 times along our trip to Laos . The town is province city an so well-organized . In addition Khoe Kan University is so beautiful and nice place with full of natural environment . Furthermore Mekong Institute is situated in Khoe Kaen which is center of the Greater Mekong Subregion .

great place for people living in the real world and want to see Thailand at its best , the people are friendly , if you like the Pattaya type places this is not the place for you, a round the lake at night there some great eating spots and local music even the clubs are good later in the night, hotels at a good price and there some thail rock /live bang pubs very cool ,you might be the only western person in the place but will be made to feel welcome . the service as in most places is great your glass will never be m/T
