To put it simply, Bangkok can seem like a nightmare to those unfamiliar with the city. The sprawling expressways and overpasses, huge new Skytrain and crowded streets full of vendors give the place a distinct Blade Runneresque feel. Causing even further confusion is the lack of a true "center" to the city, with various districts scattered throughout town. On the positive side, the Sky ... more info

Crowded people and big traffic  by Ni    9th Sep 09
I had been there as a transit for my trips . However ,staying there makes me so disappointed to get a place to place . Traffic is so bad even in not rush hour and so humidity as the city is major city and capital of Thailand . On the other hand , the prices of stuffs are cheaper than that of stuffs at Northern part of Thailand .

Bangkok - the big differences  by Patrick    16th Aug 09
What attracts me with Bangkok is the huge differences you find here. 5 Star hotels and shopping centres, next to historical monuments and what in the west would be classed as shacks, and it all blends perfectly together. With all its differences BKK has something for everyone, as long as you learn to use the city. There is not enough space to describe it all here, so I would say come and check it out, there is something for you to do, see, eat and experience in BKK.

Cultural and friendly city  by Uthaiwan    24th Jul 09
Bangkok is such a big city of south east Asia that can fit 12 millions people. There are two big part for you to visit. One is city center where people can enjoy shopping, eating, entertaining and having fun like Siam center, siam paragon, mbk, central world, platinum fashion mall or even emporium for shopping. At night with red life like Patpong, nana , night market or chil out at china town , flower market or river side.Travel around with sky train and mrt.Other part is cultural part where you can see temples, palace and many more. People in Bangkok and Thailand are sooo friendly and open mind for all people. They seem happy and welcome all people around the world to visit their country.Love canals life so much, it is something that you will never see from from anywhere else :)

Bangkok.  by Sroovy    18th May 09
Bangkok is one of Asia’s most cosmopolitan cities. Created as the Thai capital in 1782 by the first monarch of the present Chakri dynasty, Bangkok is a national treasure house and Thailand’s spiritual, cultural, political, commercial, educational and diplomatic centre. Bangkok exceeds 1,500 square kilometres in area and is home to one-tenth of the country's population. Major tourist attractions include glittering Buddhist temples, palaces, timeless “Venice of the East” canal and river scenes, classical dance extravaganzas, and numerous shopping centres.
