trip on tunisia  by Hassene    6th Dec 08
hope that everyone enjoyed Tunisia, for whom who are going there, don't forget to visit "sidi bou said", it's amazing, djellaba is beautiful too, when i say djellaba, i don't say staying on a "club med" for all the duration of your trip, ( don't forget to visit the flamant rose island, it's just waw) for people who want to buy clothes and other stuffs, there's "nahj zarkoun" and "moncef bey" in the center of Tunis but you should go with someone who know that place so you can enjoy without being ripped off. want to dance, there's a lot of night club on djellaba (rim beach is the best), also on souses (bora bora) and Hammett (calypso) have a good trip ciao

Mediterranean Cruise - Tunisia  by Patrice    25th Sep 08
The last port of call on our Cruise! Tunisia!! A very long drive from the port to the city of Tunis through flat land interspersed with fingers of water. The city, when we came to it, was beautiful. First went to the huge market under one roof, clothes somewhat like our Indian Kurtas, caftans, pottery, carpets, jewellery, the works. Later drove some more and went to Sidi Bou Said where all the buildings are white with blue trimmed doors and windows. A bit of a climb but it overlooks the Gulf of Tunisia and is a very pretty place. after a tiring climb, decided to have a coffee at an outdoor restaurant, but was surprised that the 'coffee' came in a tiny glass, was thick and sweet and cost a bomb!! But it was accompanied with honey and almond sweets which were delicious.

CLIMATE  by Blue    19th Jun 08
CLIMATE The two main climatic influences are the Mediterranean Sea, which reduces temperature and produces rainfall, and the Sahara Desert with its dry, hot winds, such as the Sirocco. In addition, the Tunisia consists of two regional climatic belts, with Mediterranean influences in the north and Saharan in the south. Temperature are moderate along the coast, with an average annual temperature of 20C (68F), and hot in the interior south. The summer season in the north, from May through September, is hot and dry, the winter from October to April is mild and characterised by frequent rains.
