Granada, like other modern cities, continues to grow and change with the times. Yet, one thing remains the same: the Alhambra and the four districts around it are still the center of attention for locals and tourists alike. Each of the districts has something different to offer. The Realejo is a friendly, easy-going district where neighbors gath ... more info

You'll be enchanted  by Juan    2nd May 08
Yes, this a city of enchantment. Yes, the Alhambra will send you to other times and most probably will be seeing pictures of your own past when you go either through the narrow streets surrounding the palace or when you are inside it and all its grad our and magnificence. Go if you can in spring and you'll see beautiful skies. If you go in winter the Sierra Nevada range will portray its snow and the clean air that those who lived in past times had the fortune to breath.

Nice place  by Lesley    22nd Dec 07
A nice university town for a short visit! We went to a wonderful flamenco show in this small restaurant there. I would recommend doing it!

La ciudad ms bonita de toda Espaa  by Stephan    17th Jan 09
The most beautiful city I've ever seen that most people can not resist to visit one after another time. There's everything there to have a great stay: The Alhambra, Spain's most important monument, great night life, the original tapas culture and sunshine on an average of 326 days a year. In addition, it's a pretty cheap stay as hostels, food and drinks don't draw too much cash from your purse. Just go there and explore the city - and please don't reduce Granada to the "hippie part" round Calle Elvira, because that's totally not what the Granadinos are like. Instead, go to the Mae West and have a fine and long night out :)

Free tapas  by Conall    12th Jan 08
The hippie city of Spain. Its also a very chilled out, relaxed, young city with great history and free tapas. Be sure to check out the alhambra of course, by day the gardens and by night be sure to have a good view of it when the lights come on. You can visit some parts of the alhambra without a ticket but its worth the wait to get one[if you have a credit card their is a different queue and its quicker]. I found the best street to go is Calle Elvira, full of pubs and tapas. If you have time sure why not check out the Sierra Nevada. Be prepared to gain a few pounds...
