Benidorm is not a typical Spanish resort because no one here speaks SPANISH! This is a licking asses for me! I do speak both languages but was so strange for me when the waitress came and saw that the group is mostly Spanish and asked us " What would you like for drinking!" was so fake! The food was ok and the area was mostly (or only!)with ENGLISH people.

Went hunting for some Easter sun, and found snow! I booked Benidorm with some trepidation as I half expected to find it was all English Pubs and Fish & Chips, but was very pleasantly surprised! They are there, but there is also authentic Spain to be found. We hired a car, which was just as well considering the weather, and explored quite a lot visiting Valencia (Easter Monday so quite dead!), and much of the coastline and interior. Did some of the organized excursions too, which seemed good value. Only letdown was the food in our hotel - we booked a half-board package but ate out as the evening meals were a bit dire! All told, though, a great place for an off-season break.

Ive been going to Benidorm for 8 years,held off cos people said the Blackpool thing and you either love it or hate it and i loved it.Theres the old town if you dont like noise and revellers.Then theres the levante part with all the pubs and clubs. Ive got to say though,this year i heard of a lot of muggings and met people this had happened to,so beware of walking away from the centre on your own and dont go to the beach at night with anyone or you will find your wallet/bag stolen. Apart from this,go and enjoy yourself!!!!

I was a bit dubious about Benidorm as most people told me it isnt nice and its like blackpool with sun but it wasnt. We stayed in old town benidorm so there was a lot of culture and traditional spanish features to see. I thought it was a lovely place and the beaches are so clean and relaxing. I would definatley go again!!!! Ignore what people say and go and see for yourself!!
