Just come back from Alcudia, great place to holidayed! Had a fantastic time Parasailing over the sea and had a some great views of Alcudia. The hotel was brilliant and had some great entertainment but night and day including Retile show and the Parrot show to name a few! The local people of Alcudia were fantastic! and the same goes to the food as well. Went to the town of Alcudia on market day and had a wide variety of items on sale!

Stayed here towards the end of the season in October. Weather was great and this town makes a pleasant change from the south of the island. If you go up the hill to the west of the Port there is a fantastic small walled town. The centre of Alcudia is your typical tourist town but not as mad as other resorts. I stayed about 6km out of Alcudia the other side of the National park a very pleasant time spent there. As we were on a self catering holiday i used the Euroski supermarket as it was a lot cheaper than the Hotel ones and there was far more choice. The buses were used to get a round the town and these ran often. The beach with its white sands was a great place to relax and unwind. There are boat trips and other trips to do when the weather changes or the kids want to see and do something else.

Been several times and this is a super place to go for a break if you dont want the long haul flight of carribean destinations from UK. Ideal place for families, couples , groups of friends as there is something for everyone. Beaches are beautiful and clean. Only pitfall is the transort if you are located too far out of Alcudia centre as buses tend to be really busy and taxis not always easy to flag down.....get on your walking shoes!
