Glasgow-part of me now.  by Amit    5th Nov 09
Any place is MADE good or bad by the folks who reside there! And Glasgow's got the warmest and friendliest people :) Made some very precious friends while perusing my Marine Engineering course. Spent a year living bang opp the Rangers stadium, though personally I loved Celtic meslf ;) A friend even made a "vegetarian"Haggis for me once! Lively, extremely jovial and friendly people. Loved the old Victorian architecture of the city. All in all a beautiful place with beautiful people :)

Time in Glasgow  by Laura    14th Feb 09
I have to tell you how wonderful it was to put my feet upon this Scottish soil. I found the peoples to all be so hospitable, very knowledgeable of both their national heritage and world histories to boot. Everywhere I went mostly on foot, so I can soak in the country without yapping guides, and get a genuine feel for the peoples and their culture and the land itself. The Greek architecture is remarkable. the libraries and the College is ever so beautifully done. I found many new friends and such good company among these residents. Being over 50 at the time and traveling by myself from the US, I had no fear of any disaster befalling me. I had a most delightful cabby, from the former Queens black watch. This is a wonderful place to get earthy and reconnect with a responsible, considerate and highly cultured peoples. Can hardly wait to return to what I consider, as put by poet Kt Lynn , " My kindred home."

Foggy Place  by Jerome    12th Aug 08
I don't understand why people would say that Glasgow is not a nice place to go to. I mean, Glasgow is quite a big city and it has many nice parks. Personally I don't have any bad points against visiting Glasgow. I like it as a city and a place to visit. People are quite friendly anyway but it is much better than Birmingham to an extent.
