Novaliches came from the surname of a Spanish governor general, Marquis de Novaliches it is primarily residential and has 15 barangays including Pasong Putik where I reside for more than 17 years. Because of its increasing population, the premier malls have been built in this area such as SM City Fairview, Robinsons Place Novaliches, Fairview Center Mall. There were also colleges like Far Eastern University, Our Lady of Fatima University and many others. The town is the place where The Lamesa Dam Watershed can be found, this Dam supplies much of northern Metro Manila's water supply. Adjacent to the watershed is the La Mesa Eco-Park, where you can stroll and unwind at Metro Manila's only forest space. Novaliches is 35 mins away from Makati and an hour from Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
