MAKATI  by Willie    6th Sep 08
Makati covers a large that includes the Central Business District. Home to the most popular Malls in the country, here you can find the best restaurants, bars, spas, services etc if you have the money to spend for it. Rockwell Center along the equally famous Pasig River offers signature brand items but the number of good restaurants have recently dwindled leaving behind two good Chinese Restaurants, Rastro, Via Mare and several restaurants at the basement. Now Ayala Center is home to the best of the best restaurants. You can go to the the big world franchises or try the equally great restaurants along the side streets normally a business opened by bored housewives of expatriates. These restaurants offers the great deals on authenticity of the dishes and price. Owners not really looking for big profit but just wanting to have something to do when their partners are busy with their business.

Makati  by Louie    31st Jul 08
Makait is considered the business capital of the Philippines. If you are a business and you want to be known as a serious player, you must have a presence in Makati. The downside to this is that traffic is almost at a standstill daily during rush hour. I don't even know why they call it rush hour when your vehicle barely moves - let alone rush.

Pobre's Park  by Larry - CHSB    12th Jun 08
I kinda grew up in Guadalupe with Relatives, arrived when I was 9 years. FOB from Seaside CA, USA. Of course I cried and was home sick, but that was not going to change. get used to it. I first thought a mosquito new was a Hammock. later that night it was my best friend. I have lived and lived and seen both sides (Rags to Riches) and consider myself down to earth. I can relate and eat any kind of food on this earth and under conditions most of us would never like. I was street wise, friends with all, had no enemies. Grew up with Gov't Officials, Philippine Military, Drug Dealers, gang members, Murderers, scholars, musicians, millionaires, paupers, street vendors, scientists, religious clergy, doctors, pharmacists, hustlers, thieves, etc.
