Peru an Inca-redible Place  by Tim    8th Sep 09
I travelled over land through Peru in 2006 and even now after travelling to many different countries around the world Peru remains the most fascinating and amazing place I have ever been. The country simply has everything; a colourful history, stunning landscapes, beautiful people, great food and everything is extremely cheap. The highlight for me was the Inca trail... the back drop of the snow capped Andes mountain range.... the dense jungle, the Urubamba river, and the most beautiful ruins I have laid my eyes upon.

Land of Sand Lines  by Todd    26th Nov 08
Loved the sand lines, the people and the culture. Lima is a busy busy place but i spend most of my time out of the city and traveling south, ie Paracas and in that area. would love to return and spend more time with the local people.

Lima, Ica and Chinca  by Berlanie    1st Sep 08
Traveled to Peru last may. Loved it! will visit again for sure! really nice people. Delicious food, really good prices as well. I visited a restaurant called El Salto del Fraile. about 30 min from Miraflores. and it was great. really nice weather during that time. Casinos all over the city, Pisco Sour was kind of strong but at the end it was completely worth the headache the next day! Also visited el circuito del agua. They have really really good things to do.

Cusco/Peru  by Bart    6th Aug 08
Peru is a country of extremes. Rainforest, desert, and mountains. Bus tickets are very cheap ranging from 15 to 40 dollars for 10 hours of riding in a semi-bed. It is also your bed for the night. I was in Cusco and southern Peru for 3 months. I recommend the Nazca lines, rainforest, Ballesta islands near Ica (penguins), and lake Titikaka. The food is very cheap, but also very questionable at some places. The food costs around $1.50 and up for drinks, and two course meal. Cebiche (raw fish in lime juice) is safe usually and is delicious. In Cusco always ask for the tourist menu because you will save a lot of money.
