My hometown  by Elisabeth    10th Apr 08
Harstad is a small town in Norway that lies on Norway biggest island, Hinnoya. There lives about 25000 people there so it's not crowded in any way. The own lies inside a fjord and u get fantastic sceneries of mountains and nice walks in a park where you can find some nice lakes to have a swim in at summertime (not the warmest but still refreshing). In the summer you can see the midnight sun and I recommend it to everyone to experience it at some point. You can see the sun all night and day. In the winter you can see the northern light and it's spectacular light dancing in the sky. The nightlife is pretty good and have loads of places to get a beer, inside and outside (at summer), but keep in mine, Norway isn't a cheap country to visit. There are some historical ground around the town like one of the world biggest land canon, an old church and some excavations from the Vikings.
