Bodø is the second biggest town in northern norway. the town has an population of 50.000 inhabitants. bodø is the gate to the famus islands lofoten, and contains everything you'll ever need in a small town. it is known as the city of the eagles, and if you're lucky you will be able to see an eagle. because of its windyness bodøs shopping street is indoor.
A very picturesque city in Nordland, Norway. It was about 13 C in summer when I was there, which suited me fine. I has a very nice university and the people are very friendly. Great, pristine countryside but not a lot to do at night. There is a definite lack of restaurants. My hotel was comfortable but would have been better if it served an evening meal.
