Great time at Taupo even though it was only a short stay. Spent most of the time getting the car ready for racing. But did find a nice Irish pub near the lake called the Jolly fellow inside and out side seating and nice meals. This time of the year Taupo was full on and loads to see and do with heaps of people about.

Nice relaxing week at Taupo - enjoyed the huka falls boat trip. Found out interesting facts about Taupo - the lake is the same size as Singapore and that the eruption that Lake Taupo was formed in was bigger than Krackatoa's eruption.

Gorgeous views - my biggest regret(s) not having flown over the lake when I had the option to.
