Eindhoven, fifth city of the netherlands, differs from ordinary towns in many ways. it is a modern, commercial, industrial and cultural centre of international standing.
The main purpose of my trip to Eindhoven was for the UEFA Cup Final. We found it an interesting city with lots of nice bars. The people were friendly and even though you were a football supporter, you were treated as a true guest. The stadium gives good views of the game.

Being the one that started the Prog-Metal band "Elegy" who were and still are based in Eindhoven and sharing Eindhoven with bands like "Peter Pan"and "The Spades" and "Dynamo Kaffee" "Dynamo's Open Air" festivals I have to say that Eindhoven is qualified to carry the name "Eindhoven Rock-City". Aldo being a small city (it's more like a big village) there's a lot going on in the music scene and also on other levels like theater, art, big events and lots of live shows of al kinds of various artists in different venue's like "The Rambler", "Dynamo Kaffee",The Effenaar"and "Phillips Music Center" and there is a large amount of local talent that is pretty experienced in getting their message across, so whenever you come to Eindhoven you now know you can Rock......

Eindhoven is a great city if you are looking to shop for the day or if you want to go out at night. Thursday evening are known as 'student evenings' as loads of students hit the town to celebrate the ending of the school/college/university week. Eindhoven is known to be modern, partly because of the company Phillips starting in this city. Overall: cute but not that exciting.
