Lovely trip to Europe and Scandig countries. From Dubai to Amsterdam, cruise from Amsterdam to Oslo via Copenhagen, then to Paris, then onto Switzerland and finally to Salzburg and Vienna in Austria before heading back to home in Dubai.

On my way back from Tanzania, I visited Amsterdam for 3 hours. It was cold. We were not dressed for this kind of cold. I would like to go in the summer. I really loved the atmosphere and the bicycle paths. We had coffee at this very nice caf.

Amsterdam was great. The transportation system is the best in the world. Great airport (Schipol sp??) is convenient and efficient. Lockers in basement take credit cards. Train into the city is new, fast. Trolleys meet he trains, bike rental is easy and everywhere, canals, add an option. Coffee houses serve all types of marijuana, cheap and fun. The Van Gogh Museum shouldn't be missed. Nice museums, parks, city life. A great place to vacation.

Went with my elderly mum to met relatives. I was there 40 years ago but only some things are still clear in my mind and things certainly change after such a long time. Was awsome to met everyone and see the many differences in the way they live. Flat is the one major difference to New Zealand and the push bikes, I truly feel sorry for any Dutchy who thinks they can bike here like they do in Holland, it just aint gonna happen. Would love to go again with my other half and explore the sights and things you don't get to see shen your with your mum.
