The main hero of Moldova is Stefan, the main street in Chisinau is named after him: Stefan cel Marie. The city is a lot of fun for a wuck trip, it is such a different cultural experience. People are very friendly and warm toward visitors and there are some good places to eat - the best in my view is The Greenhills Bistro by the Victoria Bank on Stefan cel Marie. Natalia Gordienko - their entry in Eurovision in 2006 and still a striking star can be found at the VIP club there.
