Cruise to Cozumel on Carnival  by Tina    20th Apr 09
We took our honeymoon there and had a great time. The weather was great, the people were friendly and I loved all the "new stuff" there. It's very Americanized now in that there was a FAT TUESDAYS! We didn't get to catch Carlos N' Charlie's this time around as it was on the other side of the island. Loved the shopping opportunities and took a catamaran snorkelling trip. Loved my carnival cruise!

Cozumel, The Life  by Gary    14th Jan 09
My view is a little different as I lived here for a year. The people are friendly and helpful(but I speak Spanish) and a lot speak English. This is a great place to relax. The diving is in the top 5 in the world destination, there are plenty of good restaurants, and there is some night-life but it's ideal for doing a lot of nothing on the beach, reading a book. But you have to at least take an introductory dive class. Your life will never be the same. It's not fun when the hundreds of cruisers hit the island but there are 2 days a week they don't come in. The East side of the island is QUIET. Shopping is typical and sometimes hectic but tourism is 90% of the income so what do you expect. Just no gracias and move on. You can stay here and make day trips to Mayan Ruins and lots of stuff. If you want total craziness, hit Cancun. If you want it slower. Come to Cozumel.

Coz  by Candace    27th Jul 08
I have been there. It is a nice place with beautiful beaches but it is a really dirty area. It looks nice where they have the resorts and beaches.

Carnival cruise  by Brenda    20th Jul 08
My 17 year old son and I just returned from a cruise that had a one day stop in Cozumel. I guess the other shoppers here are more tolerant of really aggressive sales people than we are. We were, quite frankly, glad to get back on ship after only a few hours. I had arranged a tour that I thought would give me a nice bit of history of the island, and some opportunities to shop. The little bits of history were interesting, but not as much as I hoped. It seemed the shopping aspect of the tour was more the priority and the shop people were far to pushy for me.
