Mrauk-U  by Han    24th May 09
It is a former capital city of Arakan in Myanmar. The city is scattered with the ruins of pagodas. This 15th century city was founded by Arakan king Min Saw Mon. But a few people know this city cos the government didn't let anyone know about this country.By any means they (government) want to stop the people going to Rakhine state.

Burma  by Sanjeev    19th Jun 08
Burma, officially the Union of Myanmar (Burmese: , pronounced [pjdunzṵ mjəm ninŋndɔ̀]), is the largest country by geographical area in mainland Southeast Asia. The country is bordered by China on the northeast, Laos on the east, Thailand on the southeast, Bangladesh on the west, and India on the northwest, with the Bay of Bengal to the southwest. One-third of Burma's total perimeter, 1,930 kilometers (1,199 mi), forms an uninterrupted coastline.

aBout Yangon, Myanmar  by jHay-Ar    2nd Jun 08
Yangon (also known as Rangoon) is the largest city and former capital of Burma. Although the military government has officially relocated the capital to Naypyidaw since March 2006,[2] Yangon, with a population of 6 million, continues to be the country's largest city and the most important commercial center.

On my top ten list  by Judy    11th May 08
I put Myanmar on my top 10 list of destinations in the world. Its diverse landscape along with its lovely people make it a destination of choice. It is unfortunate that it was ravaged by the recent cyclone. Hopefully the Military Junta there will help them on the road to recovery. It is said that we should not visit the country because it lines the pockets of the Junta. I say bring things in to give away while you are there and help those that you can with books and medicine.
