Dublin, Ireland (Republic Of.)

The river Liffey divides Dublin into two distinct halves: the southside of the city and the north.

South of the River The southside of the city traditionally has been the domain of Dublin's middle-classes and is—generally speaking—more affluent than its northern counterpart.

Love Dublin  by Michael    7th Jan 09
Had a great time in Dublin, I got sent their for training by work for six months -- I got to be there for St Patrick's day and the six nation cup, what a party. Walk every where and enjoy the pubs, epically at lunch -- got great meals for $3.75 -- for a home cooked meal. People were friendly, and took many day trips. Awesome experience

Number 31  by Joe    21st Oct 08
My trip through the B&B's and Counties of Ireland ended on the note it began, but with a hint of sadness and unreality that I was leaving already. I stayed at Number 31 and took the final opportunity to burn off the final roll of 35mm film I had purchased for my trip. Dublin, and Ireland fulfills the romantic promise that we American hold in our mind and does not disappoint.

Dublin 2006 & 2007  by Al    28th Aug 08
A great city to visit in January when you're from New England. The temperature is mostly in the 40/50 F range. The best thing is that the Irish are now coffee drinkers! There's a coffee shop on almost every street if not 2 or 3 of them. The food is excellent and diverse. We ate a Turkish restaurant both times we were there an it was great. We also ate all over the city in different types of establishments and all were good. We ate at one bistro and had the best fish dish I've tasted outside of NE. The Hop-On / Hop-Off bus around Dublin is the best way to see the city. I suggest buying a two day ticket and you'll see every section you want to. Another great thing about going in January is all the sales at the stores. They're trying move out their Christmas stock and you get great buys.

Dublin - July '08  by BmaC    30th Jul 08
I'm Irish, although living in the Middle East. Have just returned from 18 days in Dublin...what a wonderful city with brilliant people with the 'gift of the gab' - it just doesn't get better anywhere in the world. Whatever time of the year you go, you're guaranteed the time of your life. Enjoy :)
