Bukittinggi is the small town. I like this town because I can find the beautiful landscapes in this town. Sianok Canyon with Marapi and Singgalang Mountain become background is very nice and deep Canyon.

Do you want to really release your stress? Go to Bukittinggi, West Sumatera, Indonesia. You will got the real mother nature there. Very nice people living there, who you can chat with them. Very nice scenary at Lake Maninjau. Try paragliding from Puncak Lawang down to Lake Maninjau :) Go around the town and you will find Japanese Bunker (Lobang Jepang) 60 meter down earth. Take some pic at Ngarai Sianok ( Sianok Canyon) and try nasi padang (Padangese Rice), Pecel Lele (kind of catfish fries). Dont worry about price. Everything is very cheap here. You can sleep at a nice hotel starting with USD10 per night along Ahmad Yani Road, near the Limpapeh Bridge. But, if you are the night life lover, just forget it...

i really love this town. This is one of central area in west Sumatra, where u can find "Jam Gadang", which is the big clock standing in the middle area of this town. The town also known as a clean town, where u can find uniques souvenirs and culliners in west Sumatra. if u want to enjoy the place that have beautiful scenery, and different experience, u should come to this town. And I think you'll gonna like it like I do... ^__^

This is a very pretty town and it has some interesting history. It is also a cultural centre with beautiful embroidery work done by hand in and around the town. There are a couple of decent hotels and several cheaper ones for those on a tighter budget. As it is quite high in the hills, it is very pleasantly cool by night and comfortably warm by day. The people are very pleasant. One can relax in this town. There is not much in the form of "organised night life", so evening can be spent on relaxing strolls and chatting with people.
