The place is hilly terrain covered with snow mist and fog.Its a beautiful place to watch The rail tracks on the hilly roads fascinates us. Mirik lake and Nepal border make the place colourful . The place has market road which has lot of Chinese items and goods like dress, bags, beautiful coloured fans, decorated night lamp hangings .

Darjeeling  by Patrice    13th Nov 08
The last time I'd seen Darjeeling, I was a toddler! Now, 50 years later, was determined to experience all the sights and sounds and views to the fullest. We stayed in the pretty Hotel Alice which was close to the Darjeeling Mall. One had to climb steep roads to get anywhere, but it was good exercise for us even though is made me quite breathless (at my age). A few sips of water put me right. Visited the Zoo full of animals from the Himalayan region, the famous Tea Gardens and enjoyed the delicious Darjeeling Tea, went further to Kalimpong, Mihir Lake, Nepal border. Took the Toy Train to Ghum, the highest train station in Asia. So much to write about, so little space!! Check out my 'Darjeeling' photo album.

It is a superb place to visit, a nice scenic place to visit for week long trip. Trust me it will refresh you once you go there and is quite relaxing which is no the case in today's hectic life. The hospitality of the people over there is also superb. So go on and enjoy the marvels that await you in Darjelling and don't forget to laze out in the evening with a cup of darjelling TEA.
