o my god!! what should i tell u about this city beautiful i.e.Chandigarh. rocking city. love this place.full of opportunities. n great place to hang out. very clean.in short u can call it the small America in India.

Chandigarh is the capital city of the two Indian states i.e. Punjab & Haryana so its better known as a Union Territory.Chandigarh was planned by the famous French Architect Lecorbouiser and his planning of commercial buildings,parks and gardens,residential sectors and road network with time gave it the name of 'City Beautiful' but now Chandigarh is losing its sheen and beauty,it has become congested with the addition in the population and the road traffic.Its now the hub of all business activities after Delhi for this part of the region.Still its famous for its Rock Garden,Its University and its people.

This is in addition to the details that Tushar gave, one must visit the light and sound show that is being played in Chandigarh Art Gallery/Museum in the evening. It a must watch. Though the population is more now but Chandigarh is far far better than any other city in India & its still "CITY BEAUTIFUL".

Chandigarh is the only city in India and probably in the world which was planned by French architect Le Corbusier. When one wants to visit Chandigarh one should not miss the following places to visit. The Sukhana Lake is the main tourist attraction. One can enjoy the beauty of the lake and surroundings with an experience of boat ride. The Rock Garden is famous for the creativity from the waste items. You will be astonished to see what one can create from the rubble. The Rose Garden: This is the only rose garden in Asia and is worth a visit if one visits Chandigarh. You will be astounded by the sheer number of the roses which you will find in various sizes, colours and having different smells. It is a dream come true for a botanist. You will find almost every species of rose on this planet. ISBT Sector 17is the heart of the city. One should visit this place for shopping. You are likely to find some factory outlets of well known brands. You can do a lot of shopping and eating too.

It was calle once a city beautiful. it was really beautiful. but now, the standard has really gone down. the planning of the city by le corbouriser was excellent for some time. but it was meant for limited population. now the population of the city has shot up like rocket. The city is suffering from that now
