Of all the places I have travelled on this fine planet I can sincerely say (hand on heart) that the Isle of Man rates at the very bottom of the pile. I worked on an archaeology site as part of my degree programme there a few years back and thought this place was very dull and unfriendly. The main tourist attractions here sort of tell the story ... The Laxey wheel (yawn), TT races (wow fast motor bikes... big yawn)... and yeah that's about it. Douglas is drab ... sort of a poor mans Margate.... the archaeological sites such as Rushen Abbey offer nothing of much interest to anyone .... All in all lets just say I wish there were minus figures in these ratings because I think one is far to high.... my advise would be to bypass this place and head to the main land or beautiful Ireland.

The Isle of Man is so beautifull, the people are friendly and the atmosphere during TT week is amazing, I also went to the Manx GP in 88, the TT again in 89, 90 and 92.
