In my childhood, I often spent a part of the summer holiday at the Lake Balaton, for example in Keszthely. This town is located on the western shore of Lake Balaton. Keszthely Doesn't have too many sights to see. One of its sights is the Festetics Palace, built 1745. The other is the Balaton Museum, displaying geological and archaeological exhibitions. You can enjoy the lake and water sports here. This is a good place to start for excursions, too.
