The city of Budapest is stunningly beautiful, especially as you approach the riverside. There are many delightful squares and places to rest and sit and just watch the city pass by. There are plenty of hotels. The local citizenry have some familiarity with English although I think Russian and German are better understood. The costs of being a visitor are actually quite reasonable certainly considering the costs in the larger nearby cities of developed Europe. Do take a river cruise by night, especially if you are visiting with someone special. There are many such evening boat cruises .

I get to travel for work to many European cities and Budapest is my favorite, The food, people. Most of all the culture and the city sites you see while walking around are breath taking.

If you want to see history, just visit Budapest.... Nice, quiet place, good transport and nice people. The food is wonderful.. The street is clean all the time.. Stores everywhere... Joy and happiness in this city... You just have to take a look.. Have a nice trip....

I have been there long time ago...but it remain in my memory as one of the most beautiful cities I ever been in....Magical Danube makes this city more beautiful....You should visit it if you want to discover city filed with mixture of old and new, education and fun during wonderful nightlife.
